What Is the Correct LinkedIn Banner Size?
The recommended LinkedIn personal profile banner size is 1584 × 396 pixels with a 4:1 aspect ratio. For company pages, LinkedIn recommends 1128 × 191 px (standard) or 4200 × 700 px for HD quality. All images must be PNG or JPEG format.

Why Your LinkedIn Banner Gets Cropped
Desktop Profile Photo Overlap
On desktop, your profile photo overlaps the left ~200 pixels of your banner. Any text or important elements in this zone will be partially hidden.
Mobile Center Cropping (Critical!)
On mobile, the banner is cropped to ~3:1 ratio and the profile photo is centered, covering approximately 40% of the visible banner area. This is where most banner designs fail.
Edge Content Loss
LinkedIn adjusts cropping based on screen size. Content too close to edges may be cut off on certain devices. Always keep important elements within the central safe zone.
